Magalys Llort and Mirtha Rodriguez, Fernando Gonzalez’ and Antonio Guerrero’s mothers respectively, had a meeting yesterday with the members of the XVII South American Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba, in the International Camp Julio Antonio Mella (CIJAM), in Caimito, a municipality from Havana province to inform the group about the present situation of the legal process held against those patriots.

We can win this battle with the international support, expressed Mittha when she thanked the support of the members of the brigade.

We will keep on claiming the reduction of the unjust sentences, especially that from Gerardo Hernandez; we will never give up demanding the visas to Olga Salanueva and Adriana Perez so that they could see their husbands, she added.

Magalys expressed her gratitude to the numerous youngsters of the countries that had understood the political and not the legal essence of their sons’ case and where to focus the efforts.

On its part, the Argentinean delegation handed over the mothers a video with the images of the climbers from that country who climbed up to the top of the Aconcagua to demand the liberation of the Cubans and said they were not alone in that struggle.

The Brigade is made of 268 representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, in the majority young people, who had come for the first time to CIJAM, a facility that had received more than 95 000 brigade members during the 35 years of existence that it will celebrate this month.
